and his brothers. Judah then fathered
Perez and Zerah from Tamar. Perez then fathered Hezron,
who then fathered Aram, who then fathered Aminidab,
who then fathered Nahshon,
who then fathered Salmon, who then fathered Boaz
from Rahab. Boaz then fathered Obed from Ruth. Obed then fathered Jesse,
who then fathered David the king.

who then fathered Hezekiah, who then fathered Manasseh,

his brothers upon the resettlement of Babylon.

who then fathered Matthan,
who then fathered Jacob, who then fathered Yoseph, Maria's
husband from whom was born Jesus, the one called Anointed.

Therefore, the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen,
and from David to the resettlement of Babylon fourteen, and from the resettlement
of Babylon to the Anointed,
fourteen.
