Perez then fathered Hezron, who then fathered Aram, who then fathered Aminidab, who then fathered Nahshon, who then fathered Salmon, who then fathered Boaz from Rahab. Boaz then fathered Obed from Ruth. Obed then fathered Jesse, who then fathered David the king. (Matthew 1:2-6a)
